FAQ

Questions about private lessons

What is a private lesson at Dead Shot?

Focused time with a coach on specific positions — takedowns, escapes, top work, or whatever is costing your wrestler matches. Lessons run one-on-one, semi-private with two or three wrestlers, or as a small group working a shared focus.

How do I book a private lesson?

Request one through the member portal or contact the club. A request is not a confirmed booking — staff match it to coach availability and confirm the date, time and price with you before anything is locked in.

Ask about a lesson

Should my wrestler take private lessons?

Only on top of regular practice, never instead of it. Private lessons work best for a wrestler who is already in the room four days a week and has a specific problem to fix before a tournament.

A beginner does not need private lessons. They need mat time. Ask a coach before you spend the money — they will tell you honestly if it is early.

Can two wrestlers share a lesson?

Yes. Semi-private sessions pair two or three wrestlers with one coach, which keeps the focused attention while giving them live partners. Teammates and siblings working the same positions often get more from this than from going solo.

What if we need to cancel?

Tell us as early as you can so the coach's time can be reassigned. Confirm the cancellation window with staff when you book, since it is tied to the coach's schedule.
